Large Disclaimer: I am no artist. I put this together by staring at, editing, modifying, deleting, and just generally jumbling up 5 or 6 extant smilies from The Fool's collection.

Having said that, I have a serious emoticon fetish so when my forum members asked for a not thoroughly repulsive representation of beating a dead horse, I went to work and this is the result.

I would love to hear about how I could improve it, but please keep in mind that you will have to speak to me as to a child. My crayons in this case were Jasc's Paint Shop Pro and Animation Shop.

Edited the mouth as Zikes suggested cause it was weird.

It's sad that people don't get this. The lesson here is don't beat a dead horse. The artist didn't mean that she wanted to literally beat a dead horse. :P

When your horse lays down and you can walk up to him and lay down with him, then you know he horse trusts you. I think that knowing you trust each other and have a strong bond is the greatest feeling in the world.
