Author's Comments

This is a triolet I wrote for a literature contest on my forum ages ago. It's funneh 'cause it's true: I really do suck at poetry.

With the sole exception of this one attempt that actually works pretty well, hence my uploading it here.

The refrain is a reference to the famous quote from Shakespeare's Twelfth Night:

"If music be the food of love, play on;
Give me excess of it, that, surfeiting,
The appetite may sicken, and so die."

You think you suck, but you don't m8. Look at my writings, now that sucks :) But it doesn't matter, they were written in a tipsy mood, so i left them to remind myself how i write when i'm tipsy :P Were you tipsy? :P :D
