I hope they choose the most expressive ones out there. With shading and animation receiving the most attention from animators nowadays, they seem to be forgetting that an emoticon has to have a very expressive... expression. This does not apply to all emoticonists.

Aww, poor guy... :hug: I got it from The Madness of King George. Everywhere the king went he was preceded by these dudes in wigs saying "Chopchop the king, the king!" It was pretty cool. :giggle:

Well, a lot of the originals don't strike me as particularly expressive, and the requirements that the revamp retain the original vibe might have limited people's options.

Still, there are lots of beautiful revamps submitted. The legend can't help but be the better for it, imo.
